The society occupies two rooms at Dunbar Town House Museum and Gallery, courtesy of East Lothian Council Museums Service. We have a large collection of archives, including photographs, documents and maps. volunteers are on hand to research current projects or to answer visitors’ queries on local history.

Dunbar Town House Museum and Gallery is open April – September, 1pm to 5pm daily, with East Lothian Council staff in attendance. During that time our volunteers, looking after the local history room, can be available to provide tours of the building or to answer queries. We would stress however that as the room is staffed by volunteers, it would be advisable to telephone 01368 863734 in advance to check that someone will be available to help with enquiries.

During the winter season, from October to March, Dunbar Town House Museum and Gallery remains open to visitors, courtesy of DDHS volunteers, on Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 4pm.

Admission is free throughout the year.
